WELCOME! Thanks for visiting my site

Choosing a therapist can be a daunting task. I have been in practice for over 20 years helping clients with issues such as depression, anxiety, and work stress. I have also worked with hundreds of couples dealing with relationship/marital issues including communication problems, infidelity/extramarital affairs, and those trying to figure out if it is still "worth it".

My practice has a no-nonsense, solution focused approach. We may need to discuss your past, but what you are doing now and what you are going to change is most important!

My approach is very direct. I am a matter-of-fact kind of therapist. Most of my clients are not interested in rehashing irrelevant childhood issues or psychological theory. They are looking for solutions to difficult problems and seek my help to find them.

Take a look at some of the articles under Notes From the Desk of the Neighborhood Shrink  to get a feel of some of my style and philosophy in dealing with personal and relationship problems. I think you will find my approach straightforward, and possibly find some inspiration or solutions in the articles.

I look forward to working with you. Please feel free to call or e-mail me and let's get started!

I am able to assist you in using your insurance and employee assistance programs. If you have a question as to whether I am a provider for you, look on the back of your insurance card. There is usually an 800 number specifically for behavioral health references. Below is a list of some of the insurance companies that I service:

CIGNA
United Behavioral Health
Self paying clients are also welcome. I look forward to working with you.
